Call for Abstract
7TH AFSAI ANNUAL RESEARCH CONFERENCE
The 7th Annual Research Conference will be hosted at Dublin City University (DCU) Ireland. Date 6Nov2026
African scholarship is essential for shaping sustainable global futures through the provision of context-specific solutions to local and global challenges. The integration of technology with environment and social responsibilities are important for ensuring transformative sustainable global developments and environment stewardship.
This conference aims to bring together scholars working within and across disciplinary fields, to engage in discussion about the relation of their research to the theme of the conference.
The conference seeks to attract emerging and leading scholars, scientists, and researchers for the purpose of exchanging and sharing insights and findings on diverse aspects of the theme of the conference. Participants will have the opportunity to present and discuss their recent discoveries, findings, developments, concerns, and challenges with a community of similarly committed peers.
We are eager to receive abstracts that relate to the theme and three sub-themes of the conference:
- Entrepreneurship, enterprise and sustainable growth
- Climate, health and social justice in African development
- Education, technology and leadership for sustainable societies
Abstract Submission guidelines
- Any topic relevant to the themes or sub-themes of the conference are welcome.
- Submission includes a title, abstract of 300 words and 5-6 keywords.
- All submissions will be subject to double-blind peer review.
- Your abstract should contain information relating to the research project, aims/objectives, methods, findings, and contribution to the themes (but please write without headings).
- Submission is online via AfSAI website before the 30th June 2026
- Link of AfSAI’s Website will be inserted here.
- Results of the peer review will be communicated to the authors on or before the 31st July 2026
- The programme will be available online by the middle of September 2026.
Reviewers will be scoring abstracts in relation to the following criteria:
- The research problem/aim/question is clearly articulated.
- The methodology to address this is described (where relevant)
- Findings and contribution are indicated.
- Relevance to the conference theme(s).
- Complete adherence to the abstract submission guidelines
Presentation Type
Paper Presentations:
- Oral presentation of papers are 8 minutes plus 2 minutes for Q&A
- Authors whose abstract are accepted must submit their PowerPoint presentation (if applicable) from 5th to 10th October 2026
Poster Presentations
- Posterdimensions should not exceed 84.1x118.9 cm – width/height – A0 size.
- Posters will be assembled and displayed independently by the presenter.
- Selected posters will be invited for display on the AfSAI website following the event.
- Prizes will be awarded to the three most (1) innovative (2) original (3) informative posters.

- Expected impact
