Our Goals
To provide a platform where African scholars in Ireland can flourish academically and socially. We believe that by fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge and expertise, and actively contributing to Africa’s progress, we can make a positive impact on the continent.

To offer a variety of opportunities for our members to engage and grow, including research collaborations, events, and workshops. We organize conferences, conversations, seminars, and other forms of scholarly interchange, focused on responding to contemporary issues affecting Africa, Africans in Ireland, and the world..

Promoting the contribution and visibility of African scholars in Ireland by providing support to seek and identify opportunities for growth. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment for our members, which allows them to develop professionally, socially, and culturally.

Become A Member

What We DO?

  • Drive research on contemporary issues affecting Africa and Africans.
  • Collaborate/network with diverse groups, and organize conferences and workshops for scholarly interchange.
  • Stimulate research for African development in various educational fields and advise appropriate bodies on coordination of developmental programmes in Ireland.
  • To promote and support the establishment of an Institute/Centre of African studies.
  • Foster cooperation between Irish Aid and African institutions, and explore encouraging programs in international development relating to African countries.

Our vision is to provide a platform for African scholars in Ireland to contribute to global transformation. Through collaboration, innovation, and the exchange of knowledge, we aim to empower our members to drive positive change in Africa, Ireland and beyond.
